Baroque airs and laments
This recital will take us, albeit musically, into the private chambers of the aristocracy to share what they enjoyed in the way of vocal and instrumental music for soprano and lute in the late Renaissance and early Baroque. It was a time of experimentation in music and of delight in exploring the sound and technical possibilities of voice and instruments, producing works of great beauty and richness.
